NEPAL

Nepal is a country of great geographic diversity with a landmass descending from lofty Himalayan peaks to the green rice fields of the Indo-Gangetic plains. It borders India to the east, west, and south, and the Tibet Region of the People's Republic of China to the north.
Often seen as a living museum, the valley cities of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur are wonders of centuries old art and architecture. Countless shrines, temples, palaces and masterpiece sculptures evoke ancient religious histories and legends.
One especially will want to visit the great Buddhist stupas in Boudha and Swayambhu, as well as the most sacred Hindu temple in Pashupati. Visiting the local monasteries, temples and shrines, one can witness religious ceremonies in progress. The Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour of Northern India and Southern Nepal: “In the Footsteps of the Buddha Sakyamuni”. Most of festivals of Nepal are performed in honour of the gods and goddesses, some mark the seasons or agricultural cycles, and others are simply family celebrations.
